My simply scrummy friend Felicity of Gifts of Serendipity and I are linking up to bring you a fun and fabulous Valentine’s Day linky.
Now, we know that love is not all about the bling. But it kind of is.
So, during this week in the lead up to Valentine’s Day, we’d love you to do a post on your favourite bit of ‘luuuuuuurve bling’. Your jewel might be an Engagement or Wedding ring, but it might also be a special little bauble that your man has lovingly bestowed during your love journey.* If you like, you can share ‘your story’ in the post as well.
So, write your post anytime before or on 14 February and on Valentine’s Day Felicity and I will have the Blog Hop linky up on our blogs. Link up and hop along to oooooh and aaaaahhhh over each others’ goodies. Add our Blingy Button as well if you can.

My picture above is of my wedding and engagement rings (remind me to at least slap on a bit of hand cream before my next EXTREME HAND CLOSE UP! I look eighty!). They are actually a ‘step up’ wedding and engagement ring because when we actually got engaged we were in London, mid-travel and rather penniless. So I had a simple Cartier ring (obviously not penniless penniless!) as my ‘substitute’ engagement ring until we decided we could afford something more… solitaire. I designed my rings myself and I adore, no wait, ADORE them. When I first wore them I could hardly drive as I kept getting distracted by the ‘dancing lights’. Couldn’t take my eyes of them.
* Note my ‘Love Doctor’ language. All for the smoozy smoochy smoonchiness that is Valentine’s Day.

So Now What? says
Those rings are gorgeous. Will get onto this during the week. My engagement ring put us in the poverty bin but the wedding ring we went much simpler. Like $99. Not even kidding. xx

Square cut diamond, kudos, somethign a bit different.
Oh this is so cool, spending another Valentine on my own, but i love the concept!! I love . . . love!! I love my small diamond engagement ring, it says “we were so young & poor” & i’m not changing it for 80 years – he can buy me a new one for my 100th birthday!! He chose it too, i agreed, it was made & i waited patiently for 3 weeks & still burst into tears when he put it on my finger. I didn’t even want a diamond, too flashy i thought. Oh, my wedding band, plain white gold to curve around my bezel set diamond engagement ring – from Diamond Den in St Ives, tee hee. I was the only married girl at Uni, i dazzled others with dancing light, very distracting. Love Posie

Your rings are gorgeous. I don’t love mine which is awful to say – I want to step mine up – since I lost weight both are too big but my engagement ring especially flies off so I haven’t worn it in 2 years. 10 years this year so hoping to step up. And, I don’t like Valentine’s Day at all. Blah! I DO like bling though! Very much.
Oh, and I am STRUGGLING big time with Wolf Hall. Going to have to put it aside for Book Club.

What a fabulous idea. But could I link up if I have no jewellery from my husband? I have a wedding ring. That’s it. And when I was at a girl’s dinner on Saturday night the girls were all sharing their love for jewellery and flashing their bling. And me? Zilch. Zero. Nil.
By the way, I love your set. So different. Unusual. (And totally gorgeous!) xx
