Hello Maxabella Lovelies
Go on, you know you’ve missed Nosybella from the bottom of somewhere deep inside where you keep all your secrets… haven’t you?!
I’m still coming to grips with the fact that I’m behind on my Fridge Chronicles by, like, months now (how will I ever get it back?)… so I couldn’t let Ms Nosybella go the same way.
Today, I want to go deep and talk about how you live. If the things we do every single day define our life, how are we tracking? Ages and ages ago I did a post about beliefs and ever since I’ve been thinking about how the way we live day to day impacts on our philosophy. I have a post marinating in my brain somewhere (probably stuffed in there behind the leftovers), but before I get it out, I want to know (my answers in italics):
What’s one thing you think about every day?
Sex (and how to avoid it) (Am I joking?)
What’s one thing you do every day?
See above (Am I joking?)
What’s one thing you wish you didn’t have to do every day?
Oh, enough with the sex jokes, Ms Nosybella!
The one thing I think about every day is how to nurture my children’s creativity; the one thing I do every day is kiss my husband; the one thing I wish I didn’t have to do every single day is wake up and get out of bed. But one day I will regret that wish, I just know it!
I would be very interested in all thoughtful responses (or silly ones, as long as they are really funny and not just wanna be funny like mine!).
’til next time

Ok firstly…I dreamt about you last night! We were at some blogging thing and you were non-stop smiling and had this HUGE camera that you were snapping away with…recording everything. Maybe it was a premonition that Nosybella was returning…! *insert spooky music*
Now…
1. Is it too late to be a better parent? (Granted, mostly thought after yelling or forgetting something important..I think I’m doing ok *crosses fingers*)
2. Pray with my kids at night. I know they’ll remember it and it’s our thing and something I recall doing with my Mum when I was young. I also always say, “Goodnight, sweet dreams, God bless. See you in the morning. Mummy, Daddy, [brother’s names] love you very much.”
3. Think about future plans/commitments. I’d love just to think there’s nothing ahead but time to hang with my family, catch up with friends, read books…
Looking forward to that post!
xxx

Hmmm. thinking thinking.
1. Mostly “how will I go back to work, what will I do, who will look after my kids” , but usually it’s more about food.. what’s for dinner?… what can I bake this afternoon?
2. I stay at home with my kids and do heaps of creative stuff with them, and let them run outside with bare feet and play in the mud and be kids. No fancy stuff.
3. Mop the floors. Wash the dishes. Clean up the aforementioned mud and creativity mess 😉
Brenda @ Mira Narnie says
oh hahahah!! yes very funny Ms Nosybella!
Ok here are my answers
1 )I think about making stuff everyday! Even subconsciously! If i can’t actually “make” something, then at least thinking about making something will suffice (and when i say make, i mean craft, sew, bake or the like!)
2) Easy – i tell my three special peeps i love them!
3) Be grown up. i wish i could shake of that responsibility just sometimes and let it all be fun and free
xx

I’ve never played Ms Nosybella before…
1.When it’s not ‘do we have enough money?’ (I’m on mat leave and hubby was been unemployed for a few months, now on semi regular contract work), or ‘I need to lose weight’ (battling mummy tummy at the moment), or ‘how much feed/sleep has the baby had’….. well I guess after that there’s not much time left for thinking, but I usually manage to think about sewing in there somewhere.
2. Express milk to feed my baby. We had some issues with breastfeeding, I think I gave up too early, but I’m not giving up on feeding her mother’s milk, even if I do have to work twice as hard to do it.
3. Express milk to feed my baby. I have moments nearly ever day where I wish I’d fought the battle with breast feeding.

Good topic ..
Every day I think …. my kids are non stop whingers. Am I doing something wrong?
One thing I do everyday is make sure I get time to have a quiet cup of tea – just me, even if I have to go outside and close the doors to pretend my kids have gone out.
And everyday I wish I didnt have to cook. Trying to think of something to cook drives me batty!!
Can I just add that the one thing I should do everyday is kiss my husband but sadly I dont. Maybe I will from now on – am just a little worried that he might take this as a sign of me being “up for it” all the time. Suppose thats not really a bad thing – is it?

ooh, I better get that Mummy Panel post up then, we are three hours behind in WA. So glad you like the idea – hoping others do too
Those questions are tough – but I am very interested in the coming post
What’s one thing you think about every day?
How my children see themselves
What’s one thing you do every day?
I’m not great in the kitchen BUT i ALWAYS make sure my boys have a big, healthy breakfast
What’s one thing you wish you didn’t have to do every day?
I really really can’t think of anything right this instant! Doesn’t mean that there isn’t something – just suffering a brain freeze moment. Will get back to you

Lizeylou you’re answers took the words right out of my mouth.
right down to the comment about your husband! lol.

I think our philosophy impacts what we do every day too (the other way round from what Nosybella said).
Every day I think about God or the existence of God. And how I can make him real to my children. And what if he isn’t real? How I can be the best example to them, and how I can teach them to be the best people they can be. Yes. Every day.
Every day I hope to be the best person I can be.
The one thing I wish I didn’t have to do every day: the dishes. (Well, Nosybella asked.)
Speaking of Nosybella, I have missed her. Glad to see her back, doing what she does best: asking questions. xx

everyday i think about whether i’m doing this parenting thing right and if i should be doing something different.
everyday i do laundry, empty the dishwasher, cook, clean, play with my son and check on the blogworld.
i wish i didn’t have to clean everyday!
this was so boring. i must sound so uninteresting… oh well – that’s it. thought i’d play a bit. you are funny!
anushka says
what i meant was – i am so boring – not your nosybella game. : ) just read through the comments, including my own…

What’s one thing you think about every day?
How lucky I am.
What’s one thing you do every day?
Drink coffee.
What’s one thing you wish you didn’t have to do every day?
Sweep the F***** floor after dinner of mess and food and crumbs and MESS. It makes me feel like a very badly paid waitress and yet I NEED to do it because I am mental. Work that one out.
Nice to see you back Nosybella!

Ha! Love LizeyLou’s comment – am still giggling!
1. I think about being a better person every day. You know the type – selfless charity worker, baker of deliciousness to give away to lovely neighbours, constant encourager, more patience than a saint. I’ve got a long way to go.
2. Everyday, I spend forty minutes ignoring the kids to read other peoples blogs.
3. I wish I didn’t have to worry about money.
Great post, Maxabella! Happy Friday x

Hello, calling in to say hi, I’m in Dubai and flying back to Oz tomorrow then it’ll be a full-on kid-tastic weekend so am sure I won’t post a grateful but will think about gratitude for sure.
Love the idea of the Nosybella… here are mine:
1. Every day I think about… where did I put that cup of tea? Honestly, I loose one every single day, I just make one then wander about, put it somewhere and often find it hours later.
2. One thing I do every day is… kiss the boisterous bairns when they’re asleep. They still all look so cute, even my Giant Teenager is cute asleep.
3. One things I wish I didn’t have to do every day is… tough call between All That Washing/Hanging/Folding and All That Shopping + Cooking.

When I read your first ‘cheeky’ comments I thought that you [like me] must be reading [or taking a leaf out of] Charla Muller’s book “365 Days of Intimacy” – it’s a goodie BTW – raises all sorts of interesting questions.
My responses to Ms Nosybella:
1. Every day I think creative thoughts – this doesn’t mean that they translate into creative actions, but I am always thinking creatively.
2. Every day I check in on my bloggy friends to see what’s happening in their pocket of the world.
3. Every day I wish I didn’t have to nag – seriously! I wish that I were able to ignore clothes dumped on the floor, that kids could remember to brush their teeth, that lunch boxes autonomously found their way to the kitchen bench after school – you know the drill?
But most importantly, each and every day I really do give thanks that I have ‘this day’ to enjoy in my own glorious pocket of the world.
Great concept Bella, I hope that you have a brilliant day yourself. xx F

Every day i think about my future, my children’s future and what lies ahead for us. Without fail i have that pondering moment, and i usually get frustrated that i don’t seem to have better news and grander plans that we could actually pull off.
One thing i do every day without fail is crease my forehead in frustration and annoyance at the crap that flows through into my mind. I also wash dishes daily and have for the past 10 years. Lucky i don’t hate it THAT much.
One thing i wish i didn’t have to do every day would be kissing my kids good night. It’s such a bittersweet moment. I’m happy for them to go to sleep and the love we share, but at the same time i wish i could keep them curled up in my arms forever. Moments pass too quickly with little one’s.

I love it when Nosybella is around!
So…
a) Will I keep my baby safe today
b) Eat (too much generally)
c) Shave my legs – I am very hairy and if I didn’t do it everyday I would look like an ape!
Angela Steyn says
Hmmm, a post to make me think hey… Well Miss Nosybella, you did ask for it…
a) how amazing it is that I have a baby and a husband (this time 18 months ago I had neither!)
b) meditate
c) remember that the time is nearly here for me to make money rather than sit at my computer looking at lovely blogs all day long!
Have a happy, happy weekend

Silver Threads of Happiness says
1. What to have for breakfast/lunch/dinner – my life revolves around food pretty strongly.
2. I say ‘I love you’ to my partner at least once, and he says it too.
3. I am like you, I wish I could stay in bed, getting up is almost always the hardest part of the day.

What’s one thing you think about every day?
can’t name just one, i do two things as much as each other, the first is how lucky i am to have found and have Guv love me and the second is not being [and never becoming] a mum – happiness and sadness swirling together in my heart everyday.
What’s one thing you do every day?
kiss Guv at least 4 times – usually alot more
What’s one thing you wish you didn’t have to do every day?
work – i would LOVE to have a reason to stay at home!
