Remember when I shamelessly revealed my crazy third drawer down? Well… look at it now. Yes, that’s it in the pic above. Can you believe it? I am officially crowning myself (as one does) the Queen of Clutterbusting. I’m very sorry reigning Queen of Clutterbusting, wherever you are (probably working for the actual Queen or something), but I’m taking over the coveted title.
See those little cuppy things and the bigger tray things? They all snap together and you can make any combo that fits. I bought the lot for less than $20 at Howards Storage World.
Embarrassingly, the whole job took me under an hour.
I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
Of course, I am not blind to the fact that there is a lot of room on top of all those marvellous cuppy and tray thingies so PLENTY of space for throwing things in with a nonchalance that would immediately strip me of my Queen of Clutterbusting title. So, don’t worry, that third drawer down will be back to utter chaos in no time. I’ll give it… oh, a week.
But let me gloat for that week, okay? I’m freeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeee!!

I cannot stand clutter. Which is why Officeworks and Ikea make me so very happy 🙂

Oh yay! I wanted to do some clutterbusting on the weekend also but the shopping centre I went to that I thought had a Howard storage world didn’t. Very sad. I do love that shop for organisational assistance (which is greatly needed on my behalf)

Don’t do chaos well. Don’t do chaos well at all.
Loving the dinky drawer dividers.
My New Normal says
I desperately need to de-clutter some drawers. Yours looks great!

My kitchen drawers are always a miracle of zen. Not so my desk draws….they shame me…

Well done!
I am not a good clutterbuster, and since we’ve moved into a house which do not have enough space, I am attacked by my clutter on a daily basis! I am dreaming of a clutterbuster fairy coming in to HELP me!
1000 Homes of Happiness says
de-cluttered draw = de-cluttered mind. I love the little divider thingy. Though I must agree…you are in dangerous territory this week. I see large open spaces above that divider 😉

Throwing out Tupperware you never use feels GOOD.
I love a good clean out.
Well done you!

Oh I love Howards Storage World. And Office Works. And Bunnings. It’s no wonder that organisation seems to cost me a fair bit of cash…
Brenda @ Mira Narnie says
oohhhh yaaaay to you!!! de-cluttering requires strength, determination and endurance…..it’s a commitment and needs to be attended to in small doses so that it does not consume us!! don’t you just love that there are now shops designed to help us de-clutter and organise our little drawers!! love it xx
deux chiens et un garcon says
I really covet those clean neat ordered draws and surfaces. But LOML loves plastic containers for every little possible left over that then sits in the fridge until I throw it out. I am on a slow mission of decluttering. Would happy to princess.
Naturally Carol says
I hate to be a buster of clutterbusting but I have found that little compartments like that tend to harbour items that multiply alarmingly {when you’re not looking of course}..and then they bust out of their tiny chambers and mess up their neighbouring compartments. Rubber bands are some of the worst culprits! Some of these items have to be culled relentlessly to be kept in order…don’t be deceived by their unassuming appearances. Be strong and don’t give in to these elastic fiends or their friends!
Mrs Woog says
If I give you my address, can you come and sort my third draw down out? It constantly shits me, so I close it xxx
Mama of 2 boys says
Hahaha! I just read your previous post on your clutter chaos, absolutely brilliant!
You’ve come such a long way to the drawer you’re displaying here in this post. Well done Maxabella!
I go through phases where I declutter everything and all is calm and well… but then, clutter always sneaks it’s way back in. It’s a perpetual cycle around here and I’m not about to break it anytime soon ;o)
Tricia Rose says
Brava! Is there a fourth drawer!
I can live in chaos as long it’s MY chaos, then I know where everything is. I’m a good chucker though.

Nice Job!

Congratulations on a momentous de-cluttering!
Clutter drives me insane and yet I am a terrible hoarder – it is a very sad state of affairs.

I fear order.

Happy Monday Maxabella!
Congratulations on your new title – it is well deserved.
I hate clutter – I’m a “hider”. . . you know, the kind who hides the dirty dishes in the oven if they’re not washed before someone comes to visit.
I am married to a “piler” which doesn’t make for a great combination. He thinks that as long as all the piles are neat, it doesn’t matter how many piles there are! We drive each other crazy: he piles, I hide his piles.
The bright side is that it makes us feel like we’ve accomplished something for the day. Retirement is bliss!
ForeverRhonda says
oh Cassiopeia…I feel your pain. I am a hider as well. I hate clutter in the open, but please don’t open a certain closet door. my husband is also one who stacks or piles things. “but they’re neat piles”.

Our third drawer down is not too crazy… it’s just the rest of the freaking house I need help with. x

Hi Maxabella, lovely blog you’ve got here! I think I might have more than one ‘3rd drawer down’ in my house….! I know I need to tackle them, but…there are just too many other fun things to do! (like blogging! haha).
Thanks for dropping by Mama Pea Pod, and for following too!

Our home is ordered clutter 🙂
I have collections of things everywhere. Hubby calls it junk but what would he know.
I do however love a good clean out.
I don’t think I could keep any drawer that tidy.

No way! You have given me inspiration. I have just posted a pic of my jam packed with clutter laundry in the hopes that the embarrassment will motivate me to get on with sorting it out!
Any clutter busting tips will be much appreciated

My equivalent of a third drawer is a kitchen cupboard. It is piled high with appliance manuals, receipts, pens, string, gift vouchers and all sorts of other crap that I don’t have a home for.
One of these days I’ll have to tackle it and find a place for everything especially seeing as the cupboard sits right above my coffee machine and would be better suited to housing coffee mugs.
Ordinarily I hate clutter.

Howards Storage World … Why do they not have these in the States?? I need clippy baskets. Need them.

It’s always so much more fun when there are cuppy clippy things involved. Great work!

I’m reading your posts back to front – first Supermum, now your third drawer down? I’m getting frightened. Please. Stop. I’m feeling awfully insecure about my own mothering and general state of third drawer down-ness.
Kymmie says
I LOVE clutterbusting. Ever room gets a once over around once a month. Not kidding. But there are a few hotspots that remain a ‘work’ space. They get tidied, but it doesn’t take long before it’s a nightmare. They are: a) the third drawer in the kitchen (snap!), and b) my desk. Forever trying to stay on top of them!
