It was a week of near misses for me. Some minor (I did that ‘leaping through the closing doors of the train thing’ on Thursday); some major (hellllooo Cappers, the Trampoline and the Ankle).
Gets you thinking, that does.
So, this week I’m grateful for…
163. Near misses – ‘what could have been’ is always a moment that makes me question the role of fate in our life. It’s a shame I get a bit queasy whenever I see Gwynnie these days as I have a sudden urge to watch Sliding Doors again!
164. Being spoiled – such a lovely birthday week for me. That LOML of mine, he sure knows how to treat a girl. A little pile of Tiffany boxes, pictures he framed himself and a surprise afternoon tea. I love that husbie of mine all the way to Mars and back to Venus. I cannot get enough of him.
165. Riding the gravy train – can you believe there is another restructure at my work right now? This is number four in nine months. Madness! Luckily I am a very adept corporate passenger these days and I’m just looking out the window, enjoying the changing viewpoints.
So, what’s making you smile today? Add your Grateful post to the list below (and please, we love you, but it really does matter that your post is one about being grateful, not just a random), add the button (grab the code from my sidebar and paste it into your post) and pretty-please add a link back to me. Then pop over to visit other bloggers who are spreading a little sunshine.

How great is Sliding Doors?! Every time I’m faced with 2 options (no matter how small they may be!) I always have a little Gwyneth moment. Sounds like hubby spoilt you rotten – lucky you! Have a beautiful weekend xxx

Firstly, happy birthday!! Sounds like you were totally spoiled.
As for near misses/slidding door moments – I had a weird experience while driving through the hospital gates while in labor – I looked out the window of our car (probably mid primal scream) and saw my first ever real boyfriend. I looked down and saw my husband’s hand holding mine tight and thought, I made the right choice, I am so grateful!

Life is full of near misses- best not to think too hard about that, just be grateful for those little things in life. Thanks for helping us to count our blessings xx

Glad you had a great birthday! How good are Tiffany boxes… sometimes it doesn’t even matter what’s in them, the box is just soooo good!
Mine’s on Sunday… I had to bake my own birthday cake so I doubt Tiffany is on my horizon although I have managed to wrangle some kiddie free time for a visit to Chadstone and there is a Tiffany store there!!! Maybe I can go in and buy a gift bag and pretend??!!

Happy Birthday!! I am a teeny bit jealous of those Tiffany boxes. I have always had to resort to buying my own. Lots to be thankful for this week. Sliding doors is a great movie and reminder for how easily things could be different.

So glad you got spoiled for your birthday – your hubby is a keeper. (LOL I just the post above I didn’t copy).
Near misses are the only thing you want to miss having.
neesay says
Is your LOML available for skills development workshops? There’s a definite niche market there!
I work for the govt – I often wonder if restructure is our core business. Hope the ride is smooth for you. x

Glad to hear you had an awesome birthday week! Can I just say…a pile of Tiffany boxes? I’m green with envy, my husband still thinks Tiffany is just a character from the original 90210 series :S
Questioning fate will make you crazy my friend, just go with it 🙂
