We first went there over a year ago to buy our first three chickens. The moment we walked in, I knew it was special.
Plants in recycled containers as far as the eye can see. What they are and what they do is carefully written in handwriting a kid can read.
Around the back there are worm farms to investigate, permaculture gardens to poke a stick at and chooks to feed in exchange for a smiley face stamp.
We buy the grain for our chickens here every month or two. I spend ages at the cash register when making my purchase because the staff here are the kind of people you want to have a chat to.
My father in law says he can get us the same grain for $3 cheaper a bag. I really don’t think he can.
I can’t think of anywhere else that sells this kind of grain.
{This hidden place for kids is also a place where I ALWAYS forget to bring my camera. Good old iPhone has come through for this post but sorry about the image quality. I care about that sort of things these days, don’t you know!?}
