It’s no secret that we love a photo nature hunt around here. Variously called scavenger hunts, treasure hunts, nature walks and trail challenges, we love ’em all. I recently shared the awesome photography nature hunt that we set for Cappers’ party guests, and now I’m about to share another favourite photo hunt. A simpler one. A here-we-are-at-the-park-on-a-lazy-holiday-morning kind of one. The kind you can give the kids and let them roam the backyard to their (your) heart’s content.
All they need are a camera (the i’s Pod and Phone are good options here), curiosity and a list of things to take a picture of. Easy, huh?
I’ve created a printable pdf list to get you started. I wrote a little poem for you to make it seem like this is more special than just a list of things to take a picture of, but that’s pretty much what it is.
If your kids aren’t reading yet, I’d urge you to whizz around the backyard together and you can shout out the objects to photograph and the kids have to find it. Before they can read, kids absolutely love being told what to do.
After that, the feeling seems to go away.
