I’m sad that the loom band craze seems to have swept straight through town, leaving thousands of half-finished loopy bracelets in its wake. I liked the loom band craze. For a while there, everywhere you looked you’d see kids bent over intricate coloured projects, pulling and twisting for hours. I can’t think of a single thing that has kept my girls as occupied as loom bands.
Alas, they have been on the shelf for a couple of weeks now. Forgotten, loomed-out.
I plan to revive it, and not just because we still have about 400 mini-elastic bands flitting about the place. Loom banding is good for kids. It’s good for me!
I’m thinking that these loom band projects for boys by Frugal Fun 4 Boys will do just the trick. If I can get Maxi looming, the girls will soon follow (mainly so they can whinge that he’s using up all their loom bands). I’m going to introduce him to the snake and go from there…

Are your kids still looming?
