This was going to be my week to catch up on plenty of things that I’ve let slide lately. For a while there, I think I took my new-style To Do list a little too far. It’s super-fun planning holidays, parties, new ideas and trips away, but the real stuff needs to be done too. Which reminds me, I need to buy milk…
Anyway, rather than getting through my big To Do list, I found myself nursing a sick Maxi instead (and we all know how good I am at that). He’s been down with the flu these past few days and it’s rather incredible because, and I kid you not, this is the first time this child has been sick since he had rotavirus when he was 2 years old.
I know, right?
His usual hearty robustness is surely attributed to his good Italian peasant stock, but needless to say, now that he’s suddenly down, he’s miserable. He doesn’t know what to do with himself and I think he’s starting to understand why mum is sceptical whenever he has a ‘sore tummy’ and can’t go to school. I can see the cogs moving, clicking into a revelation that is bellowing, “aaaaah, so THIS is what being sick actually feels like.”
He’s a lucky boy.
Following on from everyone’s enthusiastic anticipation of the return of my social media links I’ve… brought them back. Sorry, not very big-band-ticker-tape of me, but here they are and I’ll continue them on each week. Far more interesting than my ramblings anyway – can’t seem to stop rambling on and on today. Maybe I’m coming down with Max’s flu?

PS – this week my ‘How to speed clean your house in under an hour‘ post has gone gangbusters over on Kidspot. The sceptics doubt my ability to do my entire home in under an hour, but those that know me know it can take me far less than that… you’ve just gotta treat it like a workout and beat your PB each week! Hustle!
