I got my first paycheck from my new job early this week. I’d forgotten how nice a fat wad of cash in my bank account all at once could feel. I’ve been so used to seeing the drip, drip, drip of many invoices wafting in. Incidentally, it’s killing me that I can’t tell you what my job is yet, but I can’t. Soon.
Anyway, paycheck checked so I did a little shopping. You’ve gotta remember that I’ve been on rations all year as we save for our trip, so a little therapy was in order. I found myself buying up at the Kikki K store for the ‘present drawer’ and keeping quite a lot of it for myself. I don’t need any more notebooks, crockery, cute little books or pens, but I have them anyway. Kikki K has always been a weakness. Basically, I just really shouldn’t have a presents drawer.
Reading – this divine blog. I’d forgotten over the years how much I love it.
Writing – even though I am not writing a novel per say I think I’m going to sign up for that NaNoWrirosomethingMo thingy this year. That ebook I keep promising is just hanging around like a giant bull. It was supposed to be a pet project! Some pet!
Avoiding – heated ‘discussions’ on Facebook. Some people are so aggressive, so right, so outraged. I just shrink.
Making – lots of changes and you can too.
Wishing – there were more people like this in the world.
Loving – the Blank Goods Goodie Box. And no, I’m not an affiliate for them, I just like them very much. I’m actually not an affiliate for anybody. Just so we are clear.
Wondering – why online life has to be so complicated – I must click the “Forgot your password?” link at least 13 times a week. Passwords are just ridiculous.
Happy reading and have a lovely weekend.
Do you have a presents drawer?
