After a year of saving hard and approximately 6 hours of careful planning (doesn’t life have a way of getting on top of you!?), we are off on our big family trip. Flying up-up-up and away on our dream Intro-to-Europe family trip.
- A week in Paris
- A week in London
- Christmas in Bruges
- Amsterdam
- 2 days at Disneyland Paris (What can I say? We caved)
- Home via Hong Kong and Shanghai
The excitement bubbled over in the week leading up to the trip. I missed most of it as I was working around the clock to do my bit to keep Mumtastic humming along nicely while I was away. In the end we scrambled to put everything together in the last 24 hours. You know how it is.
We leave with the attitude that what we forget to pack we probably never needed in the first place… and a platinum credit card just in case.
I’m excited to say hello to Paris – one of my favourite cities in the world* – and see how she is going.
I’ll be putting some pics up on Instagram as we go along, so come say hi over there. I’m not a natural Insta-kid, but I’ll give it a red-hot go.
I’ll be doing One Word on 1 January, so do join in for that! Until then, be merry, be light, be joyful.

I hope you had a wonderful trip!! All wonderful places to go and explore, and we will be following in your footsteps. I think travelling with kids is such a wonderful experience, if you can make it happen! I too was inundated with work and other commitments until leaving – being on the plan (albeit not sleeping a wink) was a holiday in itself!
